Expermenting with Alcohol Inks

Using the vibrant alcohol ink in Resin, I started to research the use of these inks on other mediums instead of just using them to add to the resin.

There was many awesome creations on yupo paper, but I was really interested in trialing it on ceramic and glass. So now I can't seem to stop this creative flow!

The stunning colours pops against the white ceramic - which is just beautiful.

There has been a bit of trail and error and a lot of time researching how to protect and keep the ink from running and or coming off - so, I hopefully have found the right 'recipe'.

I love that these items are functional art for the home and add a little bit of happiness when entertaining.

The journey with alcohol inks has been absolutely thrilling, and I'm excited to share where this creative adventure is heading. What started as experimenting with these vibrant pigments in resin has evolved into something so much bigger—and honestly, I can't stop exploring the possibilities.

While yupo paper creates stunning results with alcohol inks, I became fascinated by the idea of taking these inks beyond the expected. Ceramic and glass kept calling to me, and I decided to dive in and see what would happen. The moment I applied those brilliant colours to white ceramic, I was hooked. The way the pigments pop against the clean surface is absolutely mesmerising—there's something magical about how the colours seem to glow.

Of course, getting here involved plenty of experimentation. I've spent countless hours researching the best techniques to ensure the inks stay vibrant and protected, preventing them from running or fading over time. It's been a process of trial and error, but I genuinely believe I've cracked the code with a technique that works beautifully.

What I love most about this direction is that these pieces aren't just art—they're functional. A hand-painted ceramic mug or a decorated glass piece becomes part of everyday life, bringing a splash of colour and creativity into your home. There's something special about using functional art when you're entertaining guests, knowing that each piece tells a story of creative experimentation and care.

This is just the beginning, and I'm thrilled to see where this creative flow takes me next.
